Lu Grauel is an
Alaskan artist whose work ranges from whimsical to serious and reflects her
deep love of nature and the creatures which inhabit it. Lu has had a lifelong
interest in nature and has a degree in biology from U.C.L.A. Twenty years ago,
she left California for life in the slow lane in Alaska. She lives in a
wilderness setting in a remote bay accessible only by boat or floatplane. She
spends summers cruising on a sailboat and making excursions into the forest to
collect various natural materials used in some of her artwork. Winters are
devoted to painting. |
