she currently lives and works in Missoula, Montana.
In 1996 Cheri
was invited and accepted to study at the International School of Art in Umbria,
Italy. For three months Cheri studied with 27 other students from 16 different
countries. Her instructors were from Israel, Italy, The Chicago Institute of
Fine Art and the New York Studio School. While in this intensive program Cheri
expanded her range and began to explore sculpture, oil painting and an intense
Art History program. Cheri hopes to return to Italy to further her education and
experience.
Cheri says
of her work “I am always excited about my current work. Whether it is a piece
about one or both of my children, my grandsons, an interpretation of my life and
surroundings, or a wonderful story someone has told me, I try to express my
emotions through the subject.” Her work has grown and matured in both content
and technique as she has. Cheri still works mainly in watercolor but as she
says, “Art, just like life, is always subject to change and growth.
