Born in Ketchikan and raised in Anchorage, Nicole’s
art is inspired by the everyday views experienced while hiking and living in
southcentral Alaska. After completing her graduate degree in environmental
policy from Tufts University, Nicole returned to Alaska to work as a fisheries
analyst. She currently resides in Anchorage with her husband.
While she works in a variety of art forms,
including pen and ink and charcoal, the landscapes in Nicole’s art cards are
created using a self-developed technique of watercolor and collage using natural
papers. The texture of the fibers and the rich colors create personal
representations of scenes from her time in the outdoors. In addition to her art
cards, Nicole displays her original artwork and giclee prints.
