Noriko Senshu

|
Norkio Senshu spent 16 years in Alaska. She acquired degrees at the University
of Alaska and taught while creating her picture book, Sonny's Dream
published by Hampton Roads. She now lives and works in Huntington, West Virginia
with her husband a dog and a cat. Noriko has worked as a fine arts illustrator
since 1990. She thanks her residency in Alaska for her artistic inspiration.
"Most of my portfolio was created while in Alaska. I miss walking the coastal
trail in summer, and skating outside in winter." Noriko brings her own personal
perception of Alaska's animals to her work. They appear to be almost
surrealistic and are brushed with her own touch of humor. Each of Noriko's
animals take on an engaging personality of their own. |
