Carlie has been making contemporary style bead jewelry since 1995. She is inspired by antique jewelry she found and collected at auctions as a child. The long used jewelry was usually not in one piece so by cutting it apart and reusing the materials, she made treasure felt combinations for friends and family.

Carlie also collects stories. She loves the magic of how stories reflect our surroundings and lives, and enjoys putting the stories behind the beads in her collection, as much as making the jewelry itself.
