Susan Sloss was born and raised in Australia where wearing silk was a way of life. She now lives in Alaska, her home for over 30 years. She enjoys working with natural fibers, especially silks and finds painting and dyeing fabric an absorbing activity with wonderful and unpredictable results. Susan finds wearing silk a luxurious counterpoint to the man-made fabrics we now wear, especially in Alaska. Her love for nature and the Alaska outdoors merge with her silk painting, bringing you, her interpretations of the Aurora Borealis.
